The neighborhood is nestled in the sunny French Gulch valley just one mile from Main Street and surrounded by Breckenridge’s extensive network of trails and open space. Progressive cross-country ski dinners are common in the winter and group mountain bike rides in the summer, or maybe you are up for the neighborhood mountain bike race, The Gold Run Rush. Why not? Catch the “Free Ride” to town or to the Breckenridge Ski Resort on a powder day. The opportunities are endless.

Homeowner, wife, mom and runner, Anne G. shared a peek into a summer day in Lincoln Park.

“It’s early summer and the neighborhood is coming to life – trees are proudly unfurling vibrant green leaves and the birds are singing their morning songs. The fresh scent of cool mountain air and the faint babbling sounds of the nearby creek wake us up in the morning, thanks to our slightly open bedroom windows. I step out the front door with the family dog for a stroll around the Green for his morning routine, while the kids swing their legs on stools at the kitchen island, making jokes over breakfast …

The afternoon passes by in a flurry of activity – walks to visit the horses at the stables, laps around the bike park, and hikes on the wooded trails out our back door to catch a birds-eye view of the whole neighborhood. Later in the evening, neighbors gather on the Green, soaking in the warmth of the evening sun – my favorite time of day. We chat about adventures planned for the weekend, work and family life, with favorite drinks in hand.  The kids race their bikes and scooters, decorate the sidewalks with chalk and throw twigs in the creek to watch them float downstream.

At the end of another lovely summer day, with the kids tucked in bed, we pull on warm sweaters and head out to our favorite spots on our cozy front porch. A glorious array of stars fill the dark night sky and we pause for several moments to take it all in. Before long, the crackling of the fireplace draws us back inside. Its glowing warmth and a quiet conversation bring another full day of our idyllic mountain life to a peaceful close.”
